Skydance Paramount Plans to Eliminate Nearly 2,000 American Positions – News

Skydance Paramount plans to begin mass layoffs the week of 27 October, removing about 2,000 American roles within a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.

These job cuts follow the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed during August worth $8.4bn.

Additional global layoffs are likely, as the firm intending to disclose all specifics via its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Previous updates had indicated the firm was looking to eliminate between 2,000 to 3,000 roles before the start of November.

By December 2024, the organization had about 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 project-based staff.

The organization has not provided a response on the matter.
